A Day In Our Life...
Yesterday was a bit cold and cloudy outside, Cannon and I had to spend most of the day indoors. We spent about 15 straight minutes watching a big fat robin hop around on our lawn. I spent most of the time watching him.
Then after dinner we watched some "moving songs" and danced. Can you tell my boy is WHITE and learned most of his moves from his mother?

A Fun Surprise
Yesterday my mom and I took Austyn and Cannon to a Sandy favorite, Bear Park. Every person in our family has had their picture taken with this bear! This was Austie's first trip and she loved it. She took a 3 hour nap when she got home! We pooped her out!
On the way to the park, I got a call from my Aunt Linda. She and my Uncle Dave winter in Palm Springs and summer in Wyoming. They decided to stop on the way through to see my dad since he's been under the weather. Linda is my dad's baby sister. I was delighted to have my Aunt and Uncle stay with us! It was a quick visit, but it was lovely. I could talk with my cute Aunt Linda forever. She and Uncle Dave are warm, kind, wonderful people and it is always a treat to see them.
I love days like that, when you wake up in the morning with no particular plans, and it turns out to be eventful and exciting! Here's to a great week!

It is this cool contraption that keeps your purse off the floor in restaurants, at home, etc.... what a great idea for all of us germophobes, right? So go and CHECK IT OUT!
Maybe one of us will win one!

Here Comes the Sun
What a wonderful weekend! Finally we could stay outside and put our toes in the grass! We went to my mom's to help with some of the yard work. I burned my shoulders. I love it!
We were cracking up that Austyn's belly hung over her steering wheel! A true red neck!
Wawa got a new red wagon, it was a hit with the kids. The grown ups took turns pulling them around and around and around the yard. A good work out, right?
Hooray for the sunshine! It was much needed.

Boys Night Out
Greg and Cannon went to the first Bees game of the season last night. Yes, it's April. Yes, it was freezing.
They took lots of pictures of the players. Apparently this is so you can get them autographed later on.
Here is the Bee!! Cannon was afraid. Weird, because he can't get enough of "Bee Movie" right now...
Nice cup. Woah!!!!! I think it would be funny to take this one back for an autograph!
The best part is that I stayed home!! I made a yummy pasta salad, ate my gross WT oyster treat, and scrapbooked! A great night for us all!

Week 14
I am happy about new hair and body products! This weekend, I ran out of everything at once. On Sunday I had new soap, new shampoo, and new conditioner to use in the shower! yay! I love it when the soap is big and still has the picture on it! And when the shampoo comes out easily and you don't have to force it out of the bottle. I love using rich, moisturizing products on my skin and hair. I for sure can tell the difference between real and synthetic ingredients!
What are your favorite products?

First Dentist Appointment!
Today Cannon and I went to get our choppers checked with Dr. Bess. It was Cannon's first time, and he did so well! I think he's used to opening up for everyone since his tonsillectomy.
Now we have shiny clean teeth! Oh, and the verdict:
Cannon: perfect, clean, pure, wonderful teeth!!
Me: 2 cavities! Yipes! I'll be going back next week.....

Changes
I haven't posted for a while because I've been processing... my dad was in the hospital over the weekend, they suspected a stroke. He didn't know who anyone was. It wasn't a stroke. That's good.
He hasn't been able to breathe well for a while, he keeps turning blue. They found out his blood pressure was up over 200.
Tests showed his brain was atrophied and his heart was dehydrated and not pumping as it should. They think it's from sleep apnea. Yep. Weird, huh? So 40 years of deprived oxygen and no restorative sleep really takes it's toll.
He's home now, on oxygen and with a walker. He's mean and not very cooperative. (nothing new there.) Things will be different. I think that's weird too. My poor mom, the eternal care-giver.
I'm cranky because my dad is rude to the people who are trying to help him. I'm cranky because he doesn't seem to try, just give up. I guess I'm cranky because he got old.....
