Get Out!!!

What a beautiful day to be outside! The kids and I went to my mom's for lunch. She's been home alone, my dad fell on Sunday and broke 4 ribs, so he's in a care center for 10 days. A nice break for my mom.... ANYWAY, we went for a WALK!! So, so lovely.
Vic, do you recognize your old house? It's the grey one there on the right. Our neighborhood sure isn't what it used to be. Was it that ghetto when we were growing up??? There are still the same bumps in the sidewalks, Cannon rode his bike off those. I remember jumping off them in 10-speeds after watching the movie "Rad".
Speaking of ghetto, we saw some old timers that have lived up the street forever. They are in their 80's! The husband is blind, and you could tell because his shoes were on the wrong feet! And the wife was patching up the driveway with some grey caulk and a BUTCHER KNIFE!!!!! Talk about old school! I wanted to take a picture so bad, but I didn't know how to explain my motives.... oh well, hopefully you can picture it!
Harper was happy to just chill in the stroller. Hope you all got out and enjoyed the sunshine today! It does wonders for your spirit!!!

It was such a lovely day today! My idea of soaking up the sun is getting a lawn chair and watching my kids ride their bikes up and down the street. ;o) That's funny about the caulking, the butcher knife, and the shoes on the wrong feet! What a cute old couple ;o)

Too funny, I was just thinking the same thing about my parents neighborhood. Ahhh, the good old days! I'm sorry I didn't get to see you last weekend. I was sad. I need to plan better. Love love!
I'm sorry about your day, but I had to giggle about your comment it was a nice break for your mom ;)

I could see the edge of our old lawn! i love it! Didn't the current owners cut down the beer tree? There were a lot of important discussions and some mean games of red light, green light that went down in that yard. In fact we were all there playing stuck in the mud when vic moved in. We invited him and Mauddie to come play but they played it cool and declined our offer. Lol, Eventually the got sucked in to the Serpentine Posse. How could they resist?

Oh my! Piper what a great post! I feel like my Uncle Mike taking a stroll down memory lane! I remember everything you said! cracks in the sidewalks and don't forget about penny slugs! Rad was viewed multiple times at our house with my stunt devil bro's. How could anyone resist us! We definitely had a lifestyle no other kid had! Oh and Koli, I remember playing barbies in the center of that tree!
