Ingenuity
Just when you think you've seen it all, right?
Cannon is a boy who is always and forever modifying something. A plane into a rocket. A baby toy that pops plastic balls into an automatic machine gun. And he sets booby traps EVERYWHERE. He loves it.
We went in to check on him the other night and he had set up his very own "campout" on the floor. I am always interested to see what this kid comes up with next!
Harper isn't far behind. She hasn't had a walker since Christmas. She is a pro now at crawling and
cruising around the furniture. This week she took her first 5 steps! Pretty exciting!
So now when she wants to get somewhere that the furniture can't reach,
she crawls over and stands up next to the stool and scoots it to wherever she
wants to be. Funny baby!

Class Valentines
We found a really cute idea at http://www.skiptomylou.org/, and it was so very easy! Just download the template and print it off, it's titled "valentine lilly".
Cannon decorated the petals with some stickers.
Then you pop a sucker through the middle,
Sign your name on the leaf and attatch it,
And ta-da! Very cute Valentine flowers for all your friends!
If you want to see something TRULY creative, go see what my friend Erica did for her boy's class here. So so cute!

Guess What Sucks?
Don't you think? Our cute Aunt Liz started her chemo. FINALLY none of us were sick, so we went to see her yesterday. I never saw anyone look so cute with a shaved head! She reminds me so much of my mom, even more so now, when my mom had breast cancer she just kept smiling and said, "I'm gonna be just fine!" Now Liz says that. I was rubbing her back and her head, and even her little shaved hairs were falling out in my hands. I just wanted to burst into tears!
Liz's daughter Heather has a cute 1 1/2 year old girl and a brand new 2 week old baby. Oh, and a brain tumor. SUCK. And the new baby has been in the hospital with blood problems. And this isn't Heather's first bout with a brain tumor either!
Everything on my mind is worry, worry worry. I love them all so much and I just want everything to be ok. I am thankful for my health and my healthy kids. Oh, so very thankful.
So that's what's going on in our neck of the woods. We're circling our wagons and staying together and positive.
Please keep Liz, Heather, and baby Hazel in your thoughts. Heather will have her surgery on Feb. 19th.
We need every good vibe we can get!
