A Merry Christmas!
What a fun filled day, with my favorite things, family and food!!! Cannon got up to find that Santa did come! He was also happy that Santa didn't wake him up, since he has had a little anxiety about a strange bearded man coming into our house. Luckily, that's all over with! And, what other day of the year can you eat a marshmallow Santa for breakfast?
We had a great time at my mom's house, which is always chaotic with ALL of us there! It's always fun though. Then a quiet visit to Greg's parent's house, where Cannon had more fun cousins to play with, and Uncle Jeff, who played take down till they both dropped! What a wonderful Christmas! Hope it was wonderful for all of you too!

Christmas Eve
I'd like to pretend I'm a grown up and say that only Cannon had ants in his pants, but Greg and I did too!! Cannon woke up at 5am on Christmas Eve!! Yipes. So, Mommy woke up and got dressed and we headed off to Wa Wa Kathy's. A new tradition: Christmas Eve breakfast! Lacie and Austyn were there too, so an instant party.
Then I drove home, trying to get Cannon to take a nap. This ALWAYS works, except on Christmas Eve, I guess. So Mom was cranky and Cannon was cranky.
Then the DADDY says, "Let's go somewhere."
At 5pm.
Um, there are cookies to make and presents to wrap, but oh well. Another new tradition, Christmas Eve dinner at WaWa Kathy's!
We took some Crown Royal, just for a Christmas toast, but Papa Johnny Mack drank the whole damn thing! So he was the entertainment! So much for the Yahtzee game!!! Cannon just rolled the dice trying to get them all to number 1.
Finally we all go to go home and go to sleep so Santa could stop by............

The Spirit of Giving...
This year, Cannon drew my mom's name in our family drawing for Christmas presents. He wanted to pick something out for her himself, and he wanted to use his "own dollars". So, off we went to the Dollar store where he could get the most for his money. He also wanted to get something for his dad. When I asked him "What do you think Dad would like? What is his favorite thing to do?" Cannon replied, "Cleaning!" Duh Greg! So we picked out a few things and came home and wrapped them. It was fun, he did a good job. Can't wait to see their faces when they open them!

Just a little more...
Greg and Melissa taught me that parents can be fun and have fun too, and the more people that love your kids, the better.
Allen, Michael and Donna. They taught me that you can choose family, and that old souls can meet again.
Aaron and Kim taught me that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and Elsie taught me that it's not all about me!

Still Thankful...
Sarinda, Cannon, Cary, and Jeff. Sarinda taught me to "walk the middle with grace". Cary taught me to alway laugh at EVERYTHING. Jeff taught me that a kind heart goes a long way.
Me with two of my oldest friends, Natalie and Martha. We met in high school. They taught me that people who seem to have absolutely nothing in common can be the best of friends. I now seek out diversity. They also taught me that we can get through anything. Even death.
Stephanie and Tyson. They taught me to love Science fiction and different music. They taught me that people from Idaho can be cool!
Riley, Cannon, and Alex. Cannon is right in the middle, which is perfect. He loves both girls so much and they love him!
Thankful...
Lots of things to be thankful for this year! I think it's important to name a few:
* GREG: he makes life so easy and calm. I never have to worry about anything. I know he loves Cannon and I more than anything in the world.
*CANNON: my cute boy. my peace baby. He is so funny and loving, and most of the time a really good boy. I will be the best person I can be to set an example to him!
*FAMILY: I love knowing where we all came from. It's good to have roots. We all know each other so well, and we share a history.
*AUSTYN: it is wonderful to have a baby around all the time! She is so feisty! She helps me remember to just forget about everything and sit on the floor and play. She brings out Cannon's tender side. He is always watching out for her.
*FRIENDS: I believe that no path crossed is an accident. My friends are my family that I have chosen.
We are all intertwined, and I feel lucky to have them.

Father and Son
So, I am probably going to get killed for posting this, but I can't help it!! Sorry Gary!!
I just love that Greg spends time with his cute Dad! They both love to golf, it is a fun hobby they share with each other. On this day, Greg took the camera to record their swings. I remember seeing old home movies of my dad and grandfather. I guess it is a guy thing I will never understand....
Again, Gary is going to kill me!! You'll understand when the video starts. Also, I'm only posting about 2 minutes.... the other 28 are of the inside of our camera bag when Gary forgot to turn it off!! GGGAAAAARRRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!! I love you! You are a wonderful Father and Grandfather! Thanks for always being there for all of us!

Fly High With Ty
My cute friend Tyson took my sightseeing! I felt so lucky to be up in the clouds looking down at all the beautiful scenery. I was so intimidated when I got there! All these dudes talking in code!! I heard lots of letters, like CFI, TSB, XYZ, etc. It was all Japanese to me, and I was confused. Then I had to sign a paper saying I wasn't a terrorist! Hee hee.
Then we go out to the plane. And it was SMALL. I mean TINY. I thought I was going to crap my pants! But you know what? I got in, and buckled up, and sitting next to Tyson, I knew I was so SAFE!! He checked and double checked every button and flap,(not mine!) and I knew we would make it back in one piece. I just sat back, relaxed, and enjoyed this rare experience!! The take off was smooth, not scary. He is a steady pilot!! We flew through Provo Canyon, and Heber, then around through Midway and over Park City. We were about a mile off the ground, so we could see everything so clearly. It was so cool to have a different perspective on the place we live!! Then over Salt Lake and Sandy, (I saw Costco!) and then back to Provo, and a nice landing! No tummy tickles or lunges, we were just suddenly back on the runway!! How cool! And how cool to see my cute pal in action at what he loves to do!! So cool to hear him talk to the tower, and say, "Wolf one-seven, Katana niner-eight- seven, we will be departing north to west at one-three charlie bravo" Yes! They actually say niner! I loved every minute of it!! I highly recomend this adventure if you ever have the opportunity! Thanks Tyson!
