Rock Hounds!!
Yesterday Cannon and Greg went rock hounding!! Greg was excited, he has been researching this and getting supplies ready for a while now!
I stayed home, thankfully, I had a resting day. I've been having some bleeding and I'm supposed to be taking it easy. Plus I am SICK SICK SICK!!! Mostly in the evening and at night. I feel like I felt the last time, so maybe it's a girl? Thank goodness for Pepsi and Phenergen, that's all I can say.
Any way, the boys were off on their adventure, and Cannon was apparently excited that he could pee where ever he felt like peeing. Wouldn't you be? They had fun drinking out of a cooler and eating sandwiches in the car. Greg is such a good Dad. Always planning adventures.
Alas, they came home without any treasures. And Cannon threw a rock at his daddy's head. Oops.
They'll try next time to hit the mother load! Hope they do!

Big Fun With the Wises!
Aaron, Kim, and Elsie are in town! Aaron's birthday was on Wednesday, so he's having a birthday week! Yesterday the boys went golfing, for some father son bonding and frustration..... then we all went to Texas Roadhouse, Aaron's favorite. YEE HAW!! Yummy meat and potatoes! Then we came back here and I just stared at those cute kids! Cannon was pretty good. I think he only got wild with Elsie twice... (Sorry Kim!)
But didn't Cannon snap the cutest picture of Elise with her hand on her chin! I love it!
Man he is getting big.... yesterday we were both talking at the same time and he said, "Go ahead" What? When did he grow up? He also told me on Wednesday: "Don't worry, Mom. I know you're a little bit upset about Dr. Handsome, but you can go to my doctor! He takes care of little boys AND babies!"
I love that boy so much!

Wheeler Farm May Day
Here we are at our booth! We were so proud, and got really good response about our product. There are so many people out there with allergies and sensitive skin that are looking for a break!
The new Moon Dust Sparkle Lotion was a big hit, with the little girls as well as the moms! I was NAUSEATED! Luckily my sister Stacy dropped by and brought me a fountain Pepsi and some Fritos. You know, about every kid in our family was raised in-utero with that combo! Something about the salt and caffeine helps. It is a miracle.
The give away packages went out today! Hope everyone likes their surprises!
Can you see the typo on our banner? We didn't notice it until halfway through. Doi! Luckily FedEx Kinko's is reprinting it for us. Whew!
So all in all, a good day. The traffic died down and we left at 4 instead of staying till 6. That was fine. I can't remember the last time I worked an official 8 hour day! I think 3 years ago??? Ha ha.

Mother's Day Post (Finally!)

sad
I got some bad news yesterday evening. My doctor passed away. Now, this just isn't any doctor, he was my OB/GYN. I have been going to him since I was 18. Every woman in my family goes to him, and he has delivered 5 out of 6 grandkids in my family. (Cannon came too fast for him to make it there!) My oldest niece is 29, does that give you an idea of how long we've known Dr. Hansen?
I bawled all night. I was so excited to tell him I finally got pregnant again! I guess he knows now anyway. I saw him in March, and he said, "Don't worry, you'll be back here soon enough complaining about how crappy you feel!"
Dr. Hansen ALWAYS took the time to stop and chat about how things were, not just medical issues. Life's up's and downs. He wasn't just a doctor, he was human. He was kind, caring and compassionate. He made me feel like I mattered. He made me feel like the baby inside me was the most important thing in the world.
I was a surrogate in 2006. That was a major life experience. A bit more complicated in every way than a regular pregnancy. He was there with me. He worried with me. He took care of me. He cried with me when she was born.
Dr. Hansen was important to me and my family. He can never be replaced. He will be sorely missed. He was my friend.
