Girth before Birth...

Good lord.....I am huge. I'm out of breath. I can't move around very well. Everything hurts. I have major heartburn. My nausea has returned, but I have gestational diabetes so I can't really eat much anyway. I feel like a ticking time bomb! Yipes!

I had another Dr. appointment yesterday, and since I haven't dilated anymore, I was let off of restricted bed rest. Now it's only partial. That was the best! I DROVE yesterday!!! And my mom and I took Cannon to see Bolt. A very cute, non-agenda movie. We all really liked it.

So now I feel like a person again, I can do a little more, which makes me very happy. Still some baby stuff to get ready.

And it's DECEMBER!!! I can't believe that one. We will be having the simplest Christmas around here. We'll see how it goes. Just a tree, no major decorating. Maybe we'll get a Christmas card out, maybe we won't. Maybe I'll get some toffee made, maybe not. Most important is for Cannon to have a good time.

And, I'm so lucky that gift-giving isn't out of hand in my world. On my side of the family, we all draw names. Everyone has something to open when we're all together on Christmas Day, and it's just right. We are all so happy to be crowded into my parent's little house eating my mom's good food. That's what makes us happiest. No stress.

On Greg's side this year, we're just letting the Grandparents do for the kids. WONDERFUL! We don't see Greg's brothers and their families very often, so it is always fun to be together. Plus, don't you think Christmas is for kids anyway? It's much more fun to watch their delight when they open gifts. I always get a lump in my throat. What a boob!

What do you think about Christmas gift giving?

I am glad the doctor gave you a little break on the bed rest. Keep her cookin' just a couple more weeks. And you look BEAUTIFUL!!

You look fabulous! I'm so glad you were able to get off of restricted bed rest. That would have driven me absolutely crazy.

As far as gift giving goes, my favorite part is watching the kids open up presents. Jared and I don't even get each other anything anymore. We prefer to save our money for some big purchase instead (like a TV, or computer, etc.). Plus neither of us are that great at picking out things for the other unless we have a very specific list that the other has given us.

Hooray!! I'm so glad to see you are up and at 'em. Bed rest is no fun, that's for sure. You look wonderful, and I can't wait to see this little baby girl.

We are excited to see you all for Christmas. I agree...thank goodness for the simplified gift giving this year. I couldn't care less about what I want. It's all about this kiddos.

You are the epitome of a beautiful pregnant woman! I remember those last few weeks...not ever fun...people look at you with pity in their eyes. ;o) But you're radiant. I can't wait to meet your new babe! We've scaled down the gift-giving as well. We've always just picked names with my brothers and sisters, and there's a $30 limit. Perfect. Then we have a cousin gift exchange for our kids with a $10 limit. Perfect also. It can get so crazy so fast. But I love watching my kids open their presents too. If that makes me a boob too, then we'll be boobs together. ;o)

Piper, you're so beautiful. You'll be glad you have that picture of you and Cannon near the end of your pregnancy. It's a great memory. Christmas will be perfect this year just being together with the family. My kids are both teens and it's still the most fun just to watch them open their Chevron gas cards and itunes download cards. I bought some of those trick boxes that you put the gift cards in so they have to work to get them out. I've been trying to guess my new niece's name but I can't think of anyone famous named Stacy. Hee hee.
Love you so much.

You look great! Christmas is all about giving! Vic and I tend to go a little overbaord- but it only comes once a year!

I'd have to agree with you this year. I have been keeping Christmas simple this year too. It is all about the kids, actually I think this is the first year I haven't actually really wanted something for myself. I adore your picture. So cute and what a great angle! Take care and Happy Holidays!
