Happy Birthday BABYCAKES!!!

Today our baby is ONE!! I can't believe it! Here are some of her one-year-old skills:


Crawling on all fours. Finally! I thought she'd army crawl forever!









Holding her own bottle. Wonderful! Cannon always refused to do this!















Doing "Itsy Bitsy Spider" So so cute! She even claps for herself at the end.



















AND this one!!! Terrible! Cannon tells us, "Oh, I taught her how to do that." Great. I guess that's what big brothers are for!

Stranger Danger!

Poor baby! She was excited to see him from behind the fence. She was excited to see the pretty tree he was sitting next to. That was the end of that. Isn't this a funny picture? She looks like, "Mom why the HELL did you give me to this big hairy guy?"

Christmas Tree(s)!

Well, just as we thought, Harper LOVES LOVES LOVES the Christmas Tree! Everytime she sees it, she points, puts her mouth into a little "oh" and squeals, "ooooooooooh!" Cannon loves it too. I keep catching him sneaking out of bed to look at it!
We've been lucky so far, Harper hasn't trashed the tree yet. Partly because there are no decorations on the very bottom, and partly because we put her walker away!

One of my favorite decorations, this cute tree that my mother in law and her sisters helped me make a couple of years ago. EVERY single thing on this came from someone special, or represents something special.







We are in the full swing of the season over here!

Turkey for me, turkey for you...

What a perfect day! I laughed so much my voice is scratchy! We were with my inlaws this year. It sure was theraputic to be with my sisters in law and commiserate about being married to WISE GUYS!!! They are all slowly turning into their grandpa.

Weekend Fun

Greg is definitely the "Disneyland Dad"! This weekend he took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese's for FUN FUN FUN and games! Cannon just loves getting all the tickets. Apparently, Harper loves driving in the car.
Then on Sunday Greg and Cannon went to the snow hill, and Cannon did some sledding, and got to try out his snow board. No pics of the snow boarding, unfortunately, but they had a great time.
My job was to make Cannon a big cup of hot chocolate when he got home. Complete with whipped cream, AND mini marshmallows, AND chocolate sprinkles. Fine by me! Hope you all had a fun weekend too!

Point of View

What happens when your 4 year old decides to be the photographer for the day? You get close-up cheesiness,

and a picture of a foot...

but you also get to see how he sees his cute Grandma Kathy, and a brand new baby. So precious! Thanks Cannon!

ELEVEN

Yesterday our baby girl turned eleven months on 11-11!



She finally popped her 2 top teeth, thank goodness! (oh the torture!)





She's still as sassy as ever. She can stand up in her crib and playpen, and she can brush her own hair. If you get your face too close to hers, she will BITE you!

She cries if she thinks we are laughing at her. What a GIRL.

She can sign "more", "please" and "lotion".

She is in LOVE with Elmo.

She waves hello and goodbye.









She is "soooo big" and getting bigger and smarter every day! Almost time for a birthday party!
