Parent Teacher Conference

Wow, my very first parent teacher conference!! With all the crapola that has been going on the last few weeks, (ie: a kid in class who SHANKS other kids with a pencil!!) I was a bit nervous.

No reason to be! Cannon is thriving in Kindergarten, thank goodness! We have gotten the behavior issues with the boys rough housing under control. He reads above grade level. He has mastered all subjects and more. Luckily, his teacher can modify assignments so they're more challenging. I was happy to hear this.

AND!! OUR BOY MADE THE HONOR ROLL!!! PROUD PROUD PROUD are we!!

So cool! He got a certificate, hand-signed by the Principal! A coupon for a free Chick-Fil-A kids
meal, and a pencil!

Now, just as we're in the swing of things, we'll go off-track till December. I still don't know if I like this year round business. Oh well.

We also got his school pictures. So cute and funny! I had pulled that top tooth out the night before, I didn't want it dangling for his first school pics! He looked like a hillbilly. I literally held him down and yanked it! He told me, "You're just a Mom who doesn't like her kid!" I think he'll thank me later on.
Our boy is growing up, whether we like it our not. What a fun journey!
WAY TO GO CANNON BOY! We love you so much!

Isn't it a relief to find out that your child is in fact good. AND smart. Sighs of relief were heard around our house yesterday :). Nice job Cannon (and mom :) )!

If I were Cannon, I'd be in the car already, buckled up and waiting to cash in on that free trip to Chick-Fil-A! Yum! Way to go Cannon! LOVE that toothless grin! :o)

I'm not surprised. He has good genes! Cannon is the kind of kid who will do well no matter how many doofus kids are around him. He is the 'cream' he will rise above. Congratulations Cannon! Funny side note: My son got his first and only honor roll certificate when he was a Senior in High School. Hmmm...
